GSLS Community

Student Council

The Student Council at GSLS consists of 3rd – 5th grade students. They are elected by the student body, and are the leaders of our school. Students are taught the importance of leadership by helping others.

Students organize fundraisers to aid disaster victims, and to help families in our area.

As needed, student council members are involved in Conflict Management, and help other students mediate problems. The president and vice-president meet with the administrator to discuss any issues that come up, and to plan school wide activities.

The Student Council operates our Student Store, recycling program, and organizes spirit days.

They are a responsible and proactive group of young people!
