Preschool

Pre-Kindergarten Program

Our Pre-K program prepares students for kindergarten with a variety of developmentally appropriate activities. We strive for the development of skills that include listening, following directions, and problem solving. The children learn to integrate into a group setting and, also, work independently.

The curriculum includes familiarization with the alphabet, reading readiness and mathematics through the use of manipulatives. Students practice language through multiple forms of language expression. Children enjoy open-ended art activities, science and cooking all in a hands-on environment. Kindermusik is also a part of our program. The children have plenty of outside time running, playing and exploring in one of our up to date playgrounds.

All classes have opportunities to discover, explore, and be challenged through open-ended activities. There are self-directed choices such as sorting, classifying, patterning, telling stories, and generally, learning by "doing". During class time and chapel the children are taught to better understand God's Word and His world through songs and stories. We seek to give a loving, nurturing environment where the children can have fun!
