Susan Hall
Administrator

I am excited to have this opportunity to work with you at Good Shepherd Lutheran School. I come with 10 years administrative experience from the Napa Valley Unified School District as a Principal and Assistant Principal (both at the elementary and middle school levels). Prior to Napa Valley, I taught computer technology and was the Activities Director at Willis Jepson Middle School in Vacaville for 7 years. For 8 years, I was an adjunct faculty at Chapman University and have spent more than twenty-seven years teaching students from pre-K through the university level.

I earned my AA in Early Childhood Development from Napa Valley Community College, my BS in Business Management from St. Mary’s College; and my teaching credential, Masters of Arts degree in Education and my administrative services Credential from Chapman University.

My roots began in Indiana where I was born and have resided in Vallejo with my wonderful husband for over 35 years. I have two adult sons, a beautiful daughter in law and one precious granddaughter who I adore.

As an educational leader, I am committed to developing a sense of academic purpose and personal commitment for all students. I embrace the philosophy that all children can succeed in HS, college and beyond.

As I walked around the campus, I couldn’t help but feel energized, excited and looking forward to an outstanding school year. I feel fortunate and honored to work with such a dedicated group.

As we enter into a working partnership, I realize we are a team, collaborating and working together. Together, we can support and learn from one another. I am excited to have this opportunity to do “Whatever It takes” (DuFour) to help our students succeed.

Please stop by, introduce yourself, and let’s get acquainted as we begin this journey together.

Your new director,

Susan Hall

"Live your life each day as you would climb a mountain. An occasional glance toward the summit keeps the goal in mind, but many beautiful scenes are to be observed from each new vantage point. Climb slowly, steadily, enjoying each passing moment; and the view from the summit will serve as a fitting climax for the journey."
