Marianne Gazzano
Preschool 4’s class
Early in my adult life I earned an AA Degree from CCSF and was employed for 12 years with Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Company. After a 10 year break to raise my two children, I began my career with Good Shepherd. I started in 1986 as a K-5 Support Teacher working as an assistant in grades 1, 2, 3 and Kindergarten and also worked on the K-5 playground. During this time I returned to school and earned an AS Degree in Early Childhood Education from College of Marin. In addition, I also hold a Child Development Permit at the Master Teacher/Site Supervisor Levels.
I am currently enrolled at SFSU working towards my Bachelor’s Degree in Child and Adolescent Development. I am a Head Teacher in our Preschool 4’s program and am the Extended Care Supervisor for the K-5 Extended Care Teachers and Playground Staff. I am also a board member on the Marin County affiliate of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (N.A.E.Y.C.).
